Ulyana Bardyn, FCIArb is an independent arbitrator based in New York, serving parties globally.
With over a decade of experience as counsel in high-stakes, complex cross-border disputes—spanning both commercial and investor-state matters—Ulyana brings to her role a strong command of arbitral procedure, nuanced understanding of substantive law, sharp analytical acumen, and an unwavering commitment to delivering justice efficiently while respecting the parties’ chosen processes.
Trained in both civil and common law traditions, Ulyana is qualified in New York and Ukraine. She has lived and worked across multiple jurisdictions in Europe and the United States. Ulyana's international background lends her cultural fluency that is highly valued in international dispute resolution. Ulyana is fully trilingual (Ukrainian, English, and Russian).
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and an Associate of the College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA), Ulyana serves on several prominent arbitrator rosters, including the Panel of Arbitrators of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA-ICDR), the CPR Panel of Distinguished Neutrals (CPR), the European Commission’s Roster of Qualifying Chairpersons for Arbitrations under EU Trade Agreements, Main Panel of Arbitrators of the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC), as well as the Lists of Arbitrators of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association (UAA) and the Baku Arbitration Centre (BAC).
Ulyana completed the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy for Arbitrators and, earlier in her career, worked with the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. During her tenure at ICC, she oversaw hundreds of arbitration matters of varying size and complexity—an experience that significantly shaped her approach and discipline as an arbitrator.
