Over the years, Ulyana has handled a wide range of complex commercial, construction, and investor-state arbitration matters.  Her experience spans a broad spectrum of industries, including aerospace, automotive, commodities, construction, energy, financial services, food, fashion, mining, and pharmaceuticals, among others.

She has acted in cases under the rules of the ICC, ICDR, AAA (Commercial and Construction), ICSID, LCIA, PCA, and ABTA, as well as in ad hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL Rules.  Having worked with the Secretariat of the ICC Court of Arbitration, Ulyana is deeply familiar with ICC practices, as she had overseen scores of cases involving varying degrees of complexity, urgency, and adversity.

Ulyana's matters have involved legal questions arising under the laws of Albania, the British Virgin Islands, Canada (Provinces of Ontario and Quebec), Colombia, Cyprus, Egypt, England and Wales, France, Greece, Korea, Kosovo, Madagascar, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Venezuela, as well as numerous U.S. jurisdictions, including Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

She has dealt with many procedural issues, both typical and complex, including bifurcated, trifurcated, and single-phase proceedings; multi-party arbitrations and arbitrations involving non-participating parties; joinders and consolidations, including joinder requests regarding non-signatories; parallel arbitrations and parallel arbitration-litigation proceedings; emergency and interim relief applications; requests for security for costs; motions to exclude or compel the production of evidence; and applications to issue or lift confidentiality protections, among others.
